E visto che Venerdì c'è pure Man Up...

You will never see anything like the Ladder War at ROH "Man Up" again.

ROH "Man Up" will debut on pay-per-view this Friday, November 30th, on iN DEMAND, The DISH Network and TVN cable systems. Check your local listings for time, channel and the affordable price. The talk of the wrestling world on December 1st will be the first and only Ladder War for the ROH World Tag Team Titles pitting The Briscoes vs. Steen & Generico.

The Ladder War is so innovative, so dangerous, so death-defying and so incredible that ROH officials have decided to ban this type of match. The thoughts among ROH officials is that any athlete competing in another Ladder War would have to take too many extreme risks in order to try to top the "Man Up" one.

"It is a spectacular match," ROH President Cary Silkin said. "There is just no way the "Man Up" Ladder War can be topped and it would be too dangerous to put anyone in a position where they would have to top it. The Ladder War is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of match."

Watch the debut of "Man Up" from Chicago, IL on November 30th on iN DEMAND, The DISH Network and TVN cable systems to see a loaded show of athletic matches. This is wrestling that won't insult your intelligence. Pro wrestling as a sport is back. Forget about silly backstage "comedy" skits and endless promos, this is where the action is. Here is a quick look at this Friday's pay-per-view card:

Main Event #1 - ROH World Tag Team Title Ladder War
Jay & Mark Briscoe defend vs. Kevin Steen & El Generico

The Skinny: This is the final bout in what many call ROH's feud of the year. You just need to witness this one for yourself.

Main Event #2 - ROH World Title Match
Takeshi Morishima defends vs. Bryan Danielson

The Skinny: ROH's hottest new rivalry sees Danielson try to regain the ROH World Title. This is the rematch of the "Manhattan Mayhem II" match of the year candidate.

Single Series
Austin Aries, Erick Stevens & Matt Cross compete in singles matches vs. Roderick Strong, Rocky Romero & Davey Richards

The Skinny: You will see these two factions split up into singles competition for a best of three match series. You are guaranteed good, athletic, hard professional wrestling when these six mix it up.

Four Corner Survival
Naomichi Marufuji vs. Claudio Castagnoli vs. Nigel McGuinness vs. Chris Hero

The Skinny: This is a showcase of what ROH does best- take the greatest talent in the world and cut them loose to see who is the best. Japan, Switzerland, England and the United States are all represented in the first ever ROH signature Four Corner Survival on PPV.

Plus more with: Larry Sweeney, Sara Del Rey, Tank Toland & Bobby Dempsey; Delirious; Brent Albright; Adam Pearce with Shane Hagadorn; BJ Whitmer and others!!!

ROH "Man Up" will give you the most bang for your PPV dollar. Check your local listings and make sure to catch the debut of "Man Up" this Friday, November 30th, to see the Ladder War everyone will be talking about.

Non ho la minima idea di chi possa vincere tra Aries e Strong, e questa è una gran bella cosa.

... magari ci scatta il pareggio poi succederà qualcosa subito dopo i 30 minuti.

Witness it for yourself this Saturday. Make sure to check out the teaser at www.ROHvideos.com to see what the Ladder War is all about.

November 27th: This has been an interesting year for ROH as new talent has risen to the top. ROH officials decided to hold a trilogy of tournaments in the second half of 2007 to see who would grab the top spots. "Race To The Top" and "Survival Of The Fittest" were both big successes as the first two tourneys. Now the trilogy will be completed this Saturday. "Trios Tournament 2007" is all set for December 1st in Chicago. The first round matches will see:
-Jack Evans, Ruckus & Jigsaw vs. Jimmy Jacobs, Tyler Black & The Necro Butcher
-BJ Whitmer, Brent Albright & Adam Pearce vs. Davey Richards, Roderick Strong & Rocky Romero
-Jay & Mark Briscoe & Claudio Castagnoli vs. Chris Hero, Tank Toland & Bobby Dempsey
-The winners of these three matches will collide in the first ever 9-man, 3-team Scramble. Each member of the winning team will get to book themselves in any match they want on a future show. This promises to be one of the most action packed and memorable bouts in ROH history!!!

November 27th: SHIMMER has released its two DVD title tournament at ROHwrestling.com. Check out SHIMMER Vol. 11 & 12 to see the entire tournament plus several non-tourney matches. 16 of the best women wrestlers in the world were gathered to determine the first SHIMMER Champion. See Sarah Stock, Cheerleader Melissa, MsChif, Allison Danger, Lexie Fyfe, Sara Del Rey, Ariel, Lacey, Cindy Rogers, Daizee Haze, Nikki Roxx, Rain, Eden Black and more show what SHIMMMER is all about as they fight to become the first Champion. These two DVDs are a must for any SHIMMER fan. Order now at www.ROHwrestling.com for immediate delivery.

November 27th: There has been a lineup change for "Final Battle 2007" on 12/30 in Manhattan. The six man pitting No Remorse Corps vs. The Vulture Squad is off due to some lineup reshuffling. All six individuals in that match will still be in action in Manhattan. Already signed is what looks to be a unique and wild match as Jack Evans takes on The Necro Butcher!!! We will have more news on this show in the upcoming weeks.

November 27th: The Briscoes & Claudio Castagnoli practiced together this week to prepare for this Saturday's tournament in Chicago. They had some amazing matches against each other so now they are perfecting what they can do together as a team. The Briscoes are saying that they will book themselves into the craziest match possible against The Age Of The Fall if they win the tourney. Castagnoli has his eyes set on another World Title shot. With this much on the line and this much talent on one team it looks like Claudio and The Briscoes will be in good shape to win the power to book themselves in any match they want in the future.

November 27th: ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness will be available for autographs in both Dayton and Chicago this weekend. He will be signing any item purchased at the ROH merchandise table.

November 27th: The fans on the ROHwrestling.com message board have been voting on the top 10 matches to take place this year in ROH. Here is how the voting currently looks:

Gabe dal forum ROH:

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to give a quick update. The NRC vs. TVS six man for 12/30 "Final Battle" is off. We are sorry for the lineup change. We just need to go in another direction on this show. We will have more announcements soon, but we will let the cat out of the bag now and announce that it will be Jack Evans vs. The Necro Butcher on 12/30 in Manhattan. Roderick Strong, Davey Richards, Rocky Romero, Ruckus, Jigsaw and Julius Smokes are all still scheduled for the card. We simply feel that we came up with a stronger lineup for you. There will be more news soon in the ROHwrestling.com Newswire. Thank you.

There aren't a lot of matches I've booked that I've felt guilty about or come to regret. I mean obviously there are things that didn't work out the way I hoped or things that I would have done differently when hindsight is 50/50, but that's not what I'm talking about here.

I am talking about booking a match where the talent is put at an exceptional risk. For instance, light tubes aren't my thing. I am not disrespecting anyone who uses light tubes in matches or enjoys that kind of wrestling, to each his own. However, when I first started at this I vowed I would never have light tubes involved in any match that I was responsible for. That changed at the original Cage Of Pain in FIP when light tubes found their way into the steel cage. How they got there is another story for another time, but I really had an uneasy feeling in my stomach as the match was taking place. My views changed a little that night when Black Market and The Heartbreak Express put on a memorable blowoff to a great feud (and by the way if you are a promoter looking for a quality tag team that knows how to work with the fans I highly recommend both teams). Anyway, my anti-light tube stance changed somewhat that night due to the great job by Black Market and The Heartbreak Express. The Briscoes feud against The Necro Butcher & Man Man Pondo in FIP once again saw light tubes used and once again it added to the violent spectacle especially in the blowoff match at "International Impact Phase Two."

Then Cage Of Death II took place. I have never felt worse than after that match. Sal Rinauro (who may be the most underrated worker on the indies) came back with his back shredded like he had just finished a king of the death match tournament. Kenny King showed me the scars that he still has on his back just a few weeks ago. Chasyn Rance had a vicious cut on his hand. Jason Blade was all cut up. It was really Sal's back that got to me. None of these guys were mad. They all took it as part of the business. However, I had never felt worse or more guilty. These were non-death match guys that would now have scars for the rest of their lives. I made a mistake allowing light tubes in this match and I can safely say that I will always do everything in my power to make sure this never happens again.

This brings me to the Ladder War that will be on the "Man Up" PPV that debuts this Friday. As you can tell since this is the first ladder match of this type in ROH (where the ladder must be climbed to a great height for the match to end) that I have always been fearful of booking this kind of match. The Briscoes take a great deal of pride in being a building block of ROH. Kevin Steen & El Generico both wanted to make the most of their new opportunity in ROH. As you have seen either live or on DVD these four guys tore it up against each other in just about every town that ROH runs. When it came time to do a blowoff as a PPV main event I broke down and decided to book the first ever ladder match where you had to climb up a great height to win the match.

I was nervous leading up to this one. I mean you are always nervous that someone gets injured under your watch, but when you put four crazy guys who want to do something special in a match like this it is almost a given that someone, or worse yet multiple people, will get injured. I'll never forget watching most of the locker room huddled around the monitor grimacing at the punishment Jay, Mark, Kevin & Generico were putting themselves through in Chicago. I had some of the boys over to my place to see an advance screening of "Man Up" a few weeks ago and they were all astonished at the match. I even sensed that they were a little angry at me for allowing this match to happen. I don't blame them. I've been angry at myself. A very well respected wrestling journalist just watched an advanced copy of the PPV and said that the match was unbelievable and that he expected some backlash due to the chances that these four took.

I'm not trying to hype this too much. The last thing I want to do is go on the message board and read that this match didn't live up to the hype, because it is a special match and deserves to be watched without unrealistic expectations. I'm just here to say that I've learned my lesson. I never plan on booking another ladder match of this type again. It would just be too risky. However, before the critics get on their soapbox and say that this was too dangerous, let me be the first to say I agree. Let me also be the first to say that Jay, Mark, Steen & Generico all wanted to produce something special and they know this is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of match for them. Thankfully, ROH can present this match to you without any regrets starting on Friday on PPV. Enjoy it while you can because I consider myself lucky to have been able to witness it live. It was something special because it is not happening again.

November 29th: ROH "Man Up" debuts on pay-per-view tomorrow on iN DEMAND, The DISH Network and TVN cable systems. It will feature the Ladder War so dangerous, so death-defying and so insane that ROH has BANNED this match from ever happening again. Some esteemed critics have already seen an advanced screening and here is what they had to say about ROH "Man Up" on PPV:

"I'd go out of my way to see the ROH PPV on Friday. I got a tape of it and it's a strong candidate for best major show of the year." - Dave Meltzer, http://www.wrestlingobserver.com/wo/news/headlines/default.asp?aID=21438

"ROH put its best foot forward here. It was easily the strongest of their PPV efforts thus far." - Mike Johnson, http://www.pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.asp?id=27853&p=1

"Recommendation: (10.0) This is the best PPV I’ve seen this year. I thought “Driven,” ROH’s last PPV, deserved a 10.0 rating, but this PPV is even better, as ROH found a way to top themselves once again." - Sean Radican, PWtorch.com

November 29th: Tomorrow will be a big night for ROH with the PPV debut of "Man Up" and the live event at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds 1043 S. Main St, in Dayton, Ohio with a zip code of 45409. There will be tickets available at the door and belltime is 8pm. The card will feature a relaxed rules fight as Bryan Danielson takes on The Necro Butcher of The Age Of The Fall. Danielson wanted this match so he could be in a brawl to prepare himself for Takeshi Morishima. The Necro Butcher never backs down from a fight and this will be his kind of match. Dayton will witness this unique contest live this Friday. Get your tickets at the door!

November 29th: This Saturday is the huge return to the Frontier Fieldhouse on 9807 Sayre Ave.
in Chicago Ridge, IL with a zip code of 60415 for "Trios Tournament 2007" plus two big single bouts. One match will be one year in the making. Last December at the "Chicago Spectacular: Night 2" saw one of the greatest moments in ROH Chicago history when Delirious made Bryan Danielson tap to win the eight man elimination match. The two have not locked up since. Now one year later Danielson wants to get his win back. Delirious is looking to add another great moment to ROH Chicago history. Both athletes are one year better. Don't miss this match one year in the making!!! Tickets will be available at the door and belltime is 7:30pm.

November 29th: The other big singles match this Saturday in Chicago will be a battle of former Resilience members Austin Aries and Erick Stevens. Aries decided to disband The Resilience. Stevens felt he made a mistake and didn't have the right to end the group. Now Stevens will try to show Aries that he shouldn't have split up The Resilience. Aries is looking forward to the test.

November 29th: Check out the main page of ROHwrestling.com to find out why this is a special time for Jay & Mark Briscoe.

November 29th: The buy 3, get 1 sale on ROH DVDs will be in effect at the live shows this weekend in Dayton and Chicago. Check the main page of www.ROHwrestling.com later today for new releases and a new sale. In the meantime, don't miss out on the latest from FIP with a new attitude, hungry talent and recent shows on DVD. 5/25/07 "Stronger Than Ever" has Roderick Strong vs. The Necro Butcher in a No DQ FIP World Heavyweight Title Match, Jay Briscoe vs. Tyler Black, Mark Briscoe vs. Marek Brave, Erick Stevens vs. Delirious plus more. 5/26/07 "Melbourne Meltdown" features Jay & Mark Briscoe vs. Tyler Black & Marek Brave in a state-of-the-art FIP Tag Team Title Match, Necro Butcher vs. Delirious in a brawl, Roderick Strong vs. Jimmy Rave, Jerrelle Clark vs. Damien Wayne, Erick Stevens vs. Danny Daniels, Sean Waltman vs. Kenny King and more!!! Order now at www.ROHwrestling.com for immediate delivery.

November 29th: Adam Pearce is a man that knows opportunity. He has stated that the "Trios Tournament 2007" this Saturday in Chicago is the perfect opportunity for The Hangmen Three. Pearce has already thought about cashing in the tournament's prize. Each member of the winning team will get to book themselves in any match they want. Pearce has stated that he has a match idea that will give The Hangmen Three all the power in one night. He will not reveal what it is until "The Hangmen Three win this tournament in that stinkin' city of Chicago."

November 29th: Look for a big business announcement from ROH soon.

November 29th: The Four Man Elimination World Title Match set for "Final Battle 2007" in Manhattan is taking shape. Larry Sweeney already got his lawyers involved and has been able to put Chris Hero into this bout. We know the winner of the Nigel McGuinness/Austin Aries World Title bout on 12/29 in Manhattan will be in the match. Now former World Champion Bryan Danielson has been added. We will have the fourth name next week for this epic World Title clash.

November 29th: Faction Warfare will explode this weekend, but not just in Chicago for "Trios Tournament" 2007. Dayton will see the most loaded Tag Team Scramble ever pitting Jay & Mark Briscoe vs. Jack Evans & Ruckus vs. Brent Albright & BJ Whitmer vs. Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black. No tags are needed and the first fall wins it. The pace will be frantic as everyone pulls out all the stops. ROH officials expect this match to be so action packed that they have decided to put it on last so nothing has to follow it. The winners of this bout will have bragging rights to being the best team. Even more important is the fact that if one of these teams is able to pin The Briscoes they will get a future ROH World Tag Team Title shot. We will find out who the best faction is in Dayton and Chicago this weekend.
