January 7th: ROH is ready to kick off 2008 this Friday in Boston with the debut at Boston University and this Saturday at the now historic Inman Sports Center in Edison, NJ. Daniel Puder is ready to put on his gear and compete in a ROH ring. What does the MMA star bring to the table? We'll find out this weekend. Larry Sweeney has promised a total destruction of his opponents in both Boston and Edison. The fans in Manhattan had fun at Puder's expense chanting "You Can't Wrestle" and now Puder will have an opportunity to shut them up.

January 7th: All eyes will be on new FIP World Heavyweight Champion Erick Stevens this weekend. Stevens will defend the belt against two of ROH's elite. This Friday will see Stevens vs. his former Resilience leader Austin Aries. This Saturday will have Stevens vs. Bryan Danielson. Stevens will put the FIP belt on the line against Aries and if he retains he will put it up again vs. Danielson. Stevens says he's starting chapter two of his ROH career. We will see what kind of a player he is after this weekend. Stevens says that the FIP World Heavyweight Title is pushing him to be a better wrestler and he is hungry to secure his spot at the top. There is no tougher test than Aries and Danielson in one weekend. Will Stevens prove that he is a top player in Boston and Edison? Will he be able to retain the FIP Title against two of the top athletes going today? Things are getting very interesting when it comes to the FIP World Heavyweight Title.

January 9th: New FIP World Heavyweight Champion Erick Stevens has put a lot of pressure on himself this weekend when he faces Austin Aries in Boston and Bryan Danielson in Edison. He says he will not accept a countout victory over Austin Aries or Bryan Danielson this weekend. Stevens says winning the FIP World Heavyweight Title has brought his game to the next level. He needs to prove he can defeat top tier athletes like Aries and Danielson in the ring. The countout rule will still be in effect in this weekend's FIP Title Matches and Stevens can still lose the belt by countout. Has Erick Stevens bitten off more than he can chew? Mi sembra tutto logico... a parte l'overrating di MCMG Vs Briscoes e l'underrating di Danielson Vs KENTA.

Direi anche una generale tendenza a snobbare i PPV in favore degli "altri" shows. Perchè, per esempio, per carità, per quanto sia stato valido GTGM, ma Driven per me è un'altra cosa.

Considerando anche la parte non PPV, non c'è dubbio. E cmq Finale mi è piaciuto di più rispetto a GTGM.

Anche a me. E anche United We Stand, che non han minimamente cagato, per me è stato uno degli shows + belli dell'anno.

La classifica, a parte qualcosina, non è male.
Quoto su MCMG vs. Briscoes, è davvero sopravvalutato.

Altra cosa che non mi va giù: non avrei messo come MVP i Briscoes, già Tag Of The Year gli bastava, a mio modo di vedere.

Direi che non è assolutamente una classifica alla cazzo di cane, anzi. Come avete già sottolineato, ci sono pochi dettagli qua e là che possono non essere condivisibili del tutto. Giustissimo il MOTY a mio avviso. Non condivido il fatto che GTGM sia lo Show of the Year: io avrei votato per FYF Finale.

Cmq, ripeto: non ci sono stronzate incredibili come in altre classifiche.

January 14th: Erick Stevens had a groundbreaking weekend in Boston and Edison as he defeated both Austin Aries and Bryan Danielson to retain his FIP World Heavyweight Title. Stevens credits being a champion as pushing him to up his game and reach the next level. January 14th: One pair of belts that won't be on the line in Manhattan are the Intergender Heavyweight Tag Team Titles Of The World that Larry Sweeney introduced last Saturday in Edison, NJ. Sweeney crowned his clients Chris Hero & Sara Del Rey as the first champions. This is what is known as "agent talk." It is just a ploy so Sweeney can say his clients have more credentials so he can justify raising their fee. Sweeney told ROH officials to raise ticket prices so his new "champions" can be paid more. ROH officials have stood up to Sweeney and told him that they refuse to recognize these obviously ridiculous titles. Sweeney says that we have not heard the last of this issue.

January 14th: Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black retained the ROH World Tag Team Titles in an insane Ultimate Endurance last Friday in Boston. The match was so wild that ROH wants to bring it to the Midwest. All the factions and teams are running neck-to-neck as challengers. The scheduled Tag Team Scramble in Chicago will now be changed to an Ultimate Endurance. It is elimination rules. The first fall with all four teams is a Tag Team Scramble, the second fall with the remaining three teams will be I Quit and the third fall with the last two teams will be for the ROH World Tag Team Titles. No one can present action like ROH and Ultimate Endurance fueled by faction warfare.

January 20th: Nigel McGuinness retained the ROH World Title against Go Shiozaki yesterday in Tokyo, Japan at the historic Korakuen Hall. McGuinness sent word that he couldn't be more ready for his Steel Cage World Title Match against Chris Hero this Friday in Dayton. McGuinness says once he finishes off Hero for good, he will silence Roderick Strong this Saturday in Chicago. Strong insists that he will break his World Title curse and finally win the World Title on Saturday. This will easily be Nigel's toughest weekend as Champion, but after defeating Shiozaki and keeping the prestige of the belt high in Japan, he now has momentum.

January 20th: We are sorry to report that The Necro Butcher will not be able to make this Friday's event in Dayton. He will still be in Chicago. Jimmy Jacobs told the Age Of The Fall followers not to despair. Jacobs sent word that he has recently heard from a top talent that is not in ROH that believes in the Age Of The Fall cause. Jacobs says that this man has a reason to hate society. This individual will team with Jacobs in Dayton on Friday against Roderick Strong & Rocky Romero. Jacobs would not give us any other hints as to who it is besides the fact he has been a champion in other promotions, he has a reason to rebel against society and he is not on the current ROH roster. January 30th: The FIP World Heavyweight Title Match for the 6th Anniversary Show on 2/23 in Manhattan has been signed. There will be a huge FIP Title rematch on 2/16 at the FIP event in Crystal River, FL (www.FullImpactPro.com for info) pitting champion Erick Stevens vs. the man he defeated for the title Roderick Strong. Since there is no telling whether Stevens or Strong will walk into Manhattan as champion an interesting match has been signed for 2/23. Last time in New York, Stevens vs. Strong tore the house down. Now 2/23 will see another rematch between these two, but with a different twist.
